Vancouver, BC – The Canadian Football Cheerleaders Alumni Organization (CFCAO) is making history with the first-ever alumni cheerleader performance at the 2024 Grey Cup Festival, marking a milestone in the CFL's 111-year history. Featuring 50 former CFL cheerleaders from the 1960s to as recently as 2023, the event will showcase 15 performances between Thursday and Saturday, offering a unique experience for fans and alumni alike.
Led by former Edmonton "EE" cheerleaders Kylee Quinn and Kassidy Quinn, CFCAO Executive Directors West, this historic performance will unite alumni from all nine CFL cities to celebrate their shared history, passion for the game, and connection with the league’s dedicated fans.
“This is such a special moment for our organization and for all CFL cheerleaders past and present,” said Raeanne Milovanovic, Vice President of the CFCAO. “To be able to connect with fellow alumni from different teams and generations is a remarkable experience. It shows how our shared love for football, cheerleading, and community transcends time.”
The CFCAO's performances will celebrate the legacy of CFL cheerleaders and offer a rare opportunity to witness alumni from every CFL market, spanning multiple decades, come together to create lasting memories. This is the first time in the CFL’s history that alumni cheerleaders will perform at the Grey Cup Festival, a fitting tribute to the thousands of individuals who have supported their teams with spirit, dedication, and passion over the years.
Alumni cheerleaders from all CFL teams, including the former expansion teams, are invited to reconnect through CFCAO and strengthen the bonds within the CFL cheerleading community. For those interested in joining the CFCAO, or to learn more, visit https://www.cfcao.ca/membership.html.
