I started dancing at the age of 3 and teaching by 15. Throughout those years I studied ballet, tap, jazz, baton, but majored in acrobat and tumbling. I became a professional dancer at 15 and worked mostly in and around Toronto. I joined the Argoettes as a mascot when I was 13 doing acrobatics during ½ time shows until I could join the corps, and was with this wonderful group from 1958-1965. I was a physiotherapist for 38 years and now continue my practice with dogs. I also presently teach Zumba, Aquazumba, and Zumba toning, plus a chair class for seniors with dementia. Not too many people know I did 2 years at circus school in my 50’s and love being on the flying trapeze. My wonderful husband of 56 years puts up with all of my craziness plus my family of rescues which includes 1 dog and 2 cats. My takeaway as an Argoette: I treasure the friendships, love and support of my Argoette sisterhood. We are a very unique group of women who talk regularly, have the good fortune to be able to have an annual reunion, and are willing to find any reason just to be together. It is a wonderful feeling to know someone is just a phone call away and will always support you.
